Compliance Reviews
Compliance reviews for state oversight involve assessing whether a state’s program or project complies with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. These reviews are conducted to ensure that the state is using public funds responsibly and that the program or project is being implemented effectively and efficiently. Compliance reviews may cover a range of areas such as financial management, procurement, subrecipient monitoring, environmental compliance, civil rights, and others; depending on the specific program or project being reviewed. The goal of compliance reviews is to identify any potential issues or areas of non-compliance and to provide solutions for corrective action if needed.
Subrecipient Assistance
Subrecipient assistance refers to the support and guidance provided by a higher-level recipient of federal funding, such as a state agency, to a lower-level subrecipient, such as a local government or nonprofit organization, that has received federal funding through the higher-level recipient.
This assistance can take many forms, including training, technical assistance, guidance on program implementation and compliance, and review of subrecipient financial and programmatic performance. The purpose of subrecipient assistance is to ensure compliance with Federal oversight requirements and that subrecipient funds are used effectively and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Transit Studies
Transit studies involve analyzing and evaluating different aspects of public transportation systems, such as bus and rail networks, to identify areas of improvement and develop recommendations for enhancements. This can include analyzing ridership patterns, evaluating the performance of existing routes, assessing the accessibility and safety of transit facilities, and conducting market research to understand the needs and preferences of different user groups.
The goal of transit studies is to help transit agencies improve their services, increase efficiency, and better meet the needs of their communities.
Vehicle Procurements
Vehicle procurement for states refers to the process by which state agencies acquire vehicles such as buses, trucks, and cars. This may involve a competitive bidding process, negotiations with vendors, and contract management.
We assist state agencies with various aspects of vehicle procurement, including conducting needs assessments, developing procurement plans, evaluating proposals, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
Capital Construction Projects
Capital construction projects are major construction projects that involve the development of large-scale public infrastructure, such as highways, bridges, airports, and public buildings. These projects often involve a significant investment of time and money, as well as complex planning, design, and construction processes.
Examples of capital construction projects might include building a new state capitol building, renovating an existing airport terminal, or constructing a new highway interchange.
These projects typically require a high level of expertise and experience to manage successfully, and can have significant economic, social, and environmental impacts on the communities in which they are located.
